acceptable stay with some issues
short treatment disorganized service
the restaurant and pool area seemed good (especially the garden).
the spa treatment i booked felt short. i booked a 25-minute treatment, but it was to last closer to 15 or 20 minutes. this discrepancy was disappointing since i anticipated a longer relaxation period. during breakfast, the service was noticeably disorganized and slow.

i found the beds were very comfortable. the staff seemed amenable and ready to assist with smiles. the buffet breakfast had so many choices, even delicious fruit. the atmosphere felt peaceful, like a gentle hug.

easy check-in nice staff milk bottle credit card company policy car parking
Check-in was easy. Staff were very nice. I like that I could refill my milk bottle instead of using sachet milk. Beds were comfy and Temple Newsam was nearby.
The receptionist asked for a credit card. She said this is company policy. Spa access cost £10 per night. I had to pay £12 for car parking.

wonderful experience
great staff great facilities
i found the staff to be great and the facilities great i would highly recommend this hotel the parking was free i was attending a meeting it was convenient. the room had white stuff toiletries in big bottles bathrobes and slippers were available as well as sleep spray.

i dined in the restaurant the quality ingredients stood out dinner tables were set up for smaller groups ensuring a comfortable dining experience the staff knew my allergies well they kept me safe.

the room was lovely it had a separate bath and a walk in shower white stuff toiletries were provided bathrobes and slippers added a touch of luxury hypoallergenic pillows were provided i had requested this ahead of time.

busy pool limited access
the staff was friendly in every department, and the room was spacious.
I was disappointed we could only book the pool for one hour, despite plenty of notice, and spa access was unavailable. the pool was very busy. It was difficult to swim with the jacuzzi and steam and sauna fully occupied (nobody seemed to follow any time slots). it didn't feel like a relaxing 40th birthday treat as expected.

lovely get away!
kitchen staff friendly staff good amenities
i thought the food was so good, i loved the effort the kitchen staff put into it. the staff were very friendly to me, they were always supportive. i found the room on point with the amenities working well.
i think the pre authorising credit cards at check in are a bit clunky. i had a bit of an issue with that, and i will not be staying again.
